2016 History Wall Panel

In 2015 when MCC moved into its current office space one of the art installations was a history wall. The intent of the wall was to showcase to staff the important work of the agency and how the work the staff does every day impacts people around the world. The history wall is divided into large panels, each representing a year. This is the 2016 panel.

The Challenge

Design a panel that matches the style of the existing panels with enough visual differentiation for it to stand out while not being too different or “loud.”

The Solution

The overall installation has a limited color and pattern palette for use on each panel. After assessing the frequency of color, pattern usage and number of content chunks on each panel, I chose to use the green with the large background circle pattern. And I broke the content into four chunks.
