Jobodex is a privacy-focused job search and organizer app designed to help people track opportunities, manage applications, create and manage resumes, and prepare for interviews.
The Challenge
Create a marketing and support website to showcase Jobodex, a job search app that helps people coordinate job opportunities, create and manage resumes and prepare for interviews.
The Solution
Using WordPress, develop a custom WordPress theme for the website to include a blog section, support and knowledge base section and contact and subscribe web forms.
Custom WordPress Theme
To quickly deploy the website, I used the Brettro Base WordPress theme and created a custom child theme for Jobodex. The Brettro Base theme uses the Brettro Design System, which establishes the responsive design, basic typography and most UI elements. This made it easy to rapidly deploy a custom child theme to match the Jobodex visual identity.
Support Section
After some research, I decided to use the Heroic KB plugin to manage the support and knowledge base section of the website. It makes creating “how to” and other instructive entries very easy and has a built-in search engine for users to quickly search for topics when they need help.
Web Forms
I have always used the Gravity Forms plugin to manage all my WordPress-based website web forms. It is a fantastic product that is easy to use and has excellent support.
