The Challenge

The project scope included:

  • Either provide web hosting or provide a comparison of up to 3 potential website hosting companies;
  • Create a new website graphical user interface capturing the tasteful, upscale, beautiful, and approachable style evident in the VVV brand by using web design industry best practices and interface design principles;
  • Create a basic website whereby visitors will be able to:
    • Learn more about the services of VVV;
    • Learn more about the personalized, unique services VVV offers;
    • Read bits of compelling information about wine, drinking wine and finding good wine;
    • Learn about Loraine Brown and her qualifications;
    • Contact VVV for more information;
  • Establish strong content development guidelines and basic search engine optimization (SEO) techniques for better website rankings on popular search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo!;
  • Integrate an easy-to-use, best-in-class, scalable (expandable) web-based content management system;
  • Provide a simple, intuitive way for non-HTML-savvy people to create, edit, and add content (text, images, etc.) to the site.

The Solution

Brettro provided:

  • A web hosting comparison analysis;
  • A complete WordPress-based website, including a custom WordPress theme for VVV;
  • A content delivery plan for website content, including collaborative content editing;
  • How-to documentation for using WordPress to add and update content on the website.
